My Story

By April 2005 my family doctor was alarmed at my weight gain.  My blood work showed various results that shocked her.  For the first time in my life, I was on the verge of developing serious health issues.  My eating habits had not changed.  I ate normal meals consisting of plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, chicken, seafood, lean beef, and whole grain cereals, breads, and pasta.  I drank a minimum of 64 ounces of water a day.  Many days started with my favorite breakfast: Cheerios, skim milk, and sliced bananas.  Oatmeal was also a favorite of mine…so why was I suddenly on my way to becoming another statistic regarding health issues?  Who knows?  Although my doctor was concerned, I was more concerned!  This was my life and my health going downhill!

During the first part of 2006 I began to research the benefits of cleansing and the connection of impurities to weight gain.  I knew I should cleanse, yet I didn’t want to do a candida cleanse, then a liver cleanse, followed by a kidney cleanse, colon cleanse, etc.  I wanted one all-natural product that would do it all.  And I wanted something that would help me maintain my health for the rest of my life.  By May 2006 I was desperate.  I had gained even more weight; however, I had still not found that one special cleansing system.  The answer finally came in the form of a young woman who introduced to the products of Isagenix International.  Fortunately for me, she had a 30 Day Program with her, which I purchased and took home with me.  I immediately became an Associate because I knew I was in this for the long haul.  I had found the perfect line of health and wellness products I had been seeking.

How I Did It
When I first started the Isagenix 30 Day Program, I was squeezing into a size 18.  After  completing my first 9 Day Program, which was included in the 30 Day Program, I had released a total of 6 pounds and 13” inches overall.  I continued with the program and continued to release weight at an average of 1 to 2 pounds a week.   

All I was able to do for exercise at this time was walk.  I started with 15 minutes and eventually built up to an hour each day.   

Each day I drank a minimum of 3 liters of purified water…in my case it was Fiji Water.

I prepared all of my meals via recipes from The Sonoma Diet, and eventually learned to adapt these recipes to create my own.  Thanks to both Isagenix and The Sonoma Diet, I lost my desire for refined flour products completely. 

I’ve never been a big fan of sweets, so giving up refined sugar was not difficult.  I’ve always despised the thought and taste of diet sodas - diet anything for that matter.  I could never understand why anyone would drink diet drinks, period…unless they were diabetic, and I believed even diabetics would be better off drinking water.  I rarely drank regular sodas; however, prior to Isagenix, there were times when I would absolutely crave a regular cola.  To be honest, I’d go on a rampage if I wanted one and then discovered my kids had drunk them all.  I no longer have that problem.  I haven’t had any type of soda since May.  I just don’t care to drink it.  I even cut back on my coffee consumption.  Instead of guzzling a pot every morning, I savor an occasional cup.

Happy Doctor, Happy Me
When I returned to my doctor in late May 2006 for my annual check-up, she was shocked.  My blood work was normal and I had dropped over 14 pounds.  I was calm and back on the road to being the happy-go-lucky person I was prior to the accident.  I was no longer in danger of developing health problems!  I don’t know who was more ecstatic over this news, my doctor or me.
